Additioanlly, it would be nice to know if there are any normal Froyo functionalities or apps which LG has decided to NOT include in the Ally version.

Pro,
Sorry for the silence I was asked to hold off on commenting until we had an OFFICIAL Update.... Here it is...
ÛÏA Froyo OS upgrade, will be available to all LG Ally handset users in February, 2011.Û
I don't have any information beyond the official statement, but I'll try to answer whatever questions you have.
Any information on features, capabilities and included apps would be greatly appreciated if and when you have the information. Thanks.

The Ally definitely needs the 2.2 update I had a customer exchange it for the vortex yesterday because no voice dialing capabilities thru bluetooth

I think Flash on the Ally will be awesome. It will keep it in the running against the mot droids

After playing around with the new 2.2 on my Ally for the better part of the last 3 or 4 hours, I've deleted the upgrade. I found it to create more problems for me than it fixed and it just wasn't worth it overall. Maybe I will consider it after the kinks have all been worked out.

How did you delete 2.2? Thanks in advance.
