When oh when is LG going to fix all these issues with the G2X. We made the mistake of buying 3 G2X's in our family and we're all tired of this phone. The phones randomly freezes, shuts down and reboot. I have to pull the battery out a couple of times a week to get it to restart. I'm not alone. Just Google G2X issues and its very evident that the issues are wide spread.The last update was more than 6 months ago and there hasn't been any update since. Its just unacceptable. Ican only conclude two things from this. Either LG doesn't care about its customers or it is incompetent.

Yes there are quite a lot of G2x owners with issues. I have had mine since May 2011, and no problems at all.
My guess since we can't get a firm answer on the Ice Cream Sandwich update, it will be sometime 2nd or 3rd quarter. If they do an update you will have to use the LG updater tool to get it as T-Mobile has EOLd the phone. They more than likely not pust any more update to the phone. A lot of the users have rooted and changed roms with great success on getting rid of the problems with the G2x. A lot of helpful information can be found over at the XDA forums.

Thanks for the link! I've been resisiting install a third party ROM on the phone in the hopes that LG will fix the issue. But looks like we can't rely on them to do anything to fix the issues on the phone they sold. Talk about bad customer service. And they're just being so non-commital and unclear about updates to gingerbread and ICS. This is the last LG phone I ever buy. I'll make sure none of my friends and family touch LG phones. Its been one horrible experience.

Hi all, I have not been here for months because to be quite frank this phone was such a piece of junk I sold it and bought a Galaxy 2, you know a phone that actually works. Just came back in the hopes that LG has made some move to actually make this phone function and it is sad to see everything still seems the same. Jump off the ship, admit you were taken and go out and get a phone that functions. Everytime I see something for a new LG phone it brings me much joy in a such a way as I can not believe someone would actually ever buy an LG phone kind of smile. SInce this phone I have replace every object in my house that had an LG written on it. My wife was lucky cause her maden name starts with a G, if her first name started with an L she to would be gone

I guess it's good to see other people are having my same issue, so it's not just my bad luck...but not that good :(So is there some sort of plan to fix this? I've had my phone 9 days and I've had to pull the battery out because it's froze 3 times already. I don't know if I should try to return the phone or not, or if I even can. I really want to like this phone, and I love it when it's working. But freezing every 3 days for the length of my 2 year contract isn't going to work for me...
