Have you seen the Lotus??

Have you seen the new LG Lotus? It's a smokin' hot phone! It has a full QWERTY inside and a wide screen. The purple one is super fun for the ladies. It looks just like a compact. What a fun phone!

I am having problems with mine, such as different websites on the internet are not showing up as the full page, and I cannot scroll over to see the full page. I am also wondering if there is any software required in order to transfer music and videos from my computer over to it.

I don't have my Lotus activated yet but I found this in another thread. Perhaps it's the same. I'll be activating my phone this week and can double check for you. This works if you don't have internet or pic mail. Go to Messaging, Choose send message Choose VoiceSMS Arrow down to recent list, click ok choose options, delete all

I have had my Lotus for about a week. I love the phone! There is one exception though....it does not have the Roaming Only option. I live in an area with a very strong roam signal and weak Sprint signal. On Automatic, the phone is continually searching for signals and it will lock onto the faint Sprint signal instead of the strong roam signal. Is there a fix for this???

I believe since it's a Sprint device it's always going to choose the Sprint signal over whatever other signals might be available.

I understand and agree that since the Lotus is a Sprint device it will always choose a Spring signal over other signals available. Is there any chance that LG will do a firmware update to include the ROAMING ONLY option in the roaming modes?? This is an option that has been available on all other phones I have had with Sprint. The phone I had before the Lotus was an LG Rumor and it had the roaming only option. I'm puzzled as to why this option was eliminated with the Lotus.

I never know what's going to be included in the updates but I have sent your suggestion/concern to my LG and Sprint teams. Thanks!

Seeing as I can't find a request list for the LG Lotus, here are some things I'm hoping the LG Lotus development team can address via firmware upgrades (in order of priority): 1) Call History. There needs to be a subdivision between calls made and calls received. They should not be merged together in one list. Also, with each call there should be an indication of the call duration--this information shows briefly after the call and then disappears. It should be retained. Also, in the call list, show either the contact name or the number when not linked to a contact. Do not show both, as it takes up valuable real estate. If the entry is a name clicking on it will reveal the number that was involved. This makes for better screen management. It is cumbersome to look at the full list when 1/3 of the screen is obscured by the highlighted call in focus. 2) Scheduler Event Alarm. You can set the alarm to go off on time or before hand: 5 minutes, 10 minutes, 1 hour, 1 day, 2 days. There is no "Custom". Several other phones I've used, dating back 5 years, would allow you to set a custom time. This is important, as you may need to account for travel time for the event. For instance, I would often set an alert to 2 hours or 1.5 hours before. I can't do that on the Lotus. It should not be a difficult thing to provide. In the selection list, there would be an entry called "Custom"... this would allow you to enter hours and minutes, up to 23:59. It would be nice to set days as well, but it's not as important as customizing the time. 3) Scheduler Event Copy. In the real world, repeating events don't always occur at regular intervals. Some are always at different times and dates. There should be a means to copy an event logged, whether it has occurred yet or or not, and place it in a different date/time. All of the information remains the same (time, title, alarm setting, etc.), except for the date. Of course, after copying any of the information can be changed. This should be a very easy feature to implement as it is just copying existing information for a new entry. 4) Battery level. The phone shows 3 segments in the battery icon. The battery strength shown in the voice command details corresponds to the following: --3 bars: 100% --2 bars: 50% --1 bar: 25% The scale does not function this way. When the battery goes from 3 bars to 2 bars, 33% of the life has been consumed, not 50%. Either provide 4 bars, with each bar representing a factor of 25%, or change the scale so that 2 bars is 66% and 1 bar is 33%. 5) Full Screen. When browsing images, there should be an option selection entitled "Full Screen". When selected, a dialog will pop up saying "All icons and text will be hidden while browsing images. To cancel, press BACK or END." The navigational controls and OK button will continue functioning as designed, not affecting Full Screen mode. END or BACK buttons will perform their normal function but also restore all text and icons that were hidden. Likewise, you can select OPTIONS navigate to the "hide" menu option (which will now show as "reveal"), and select it. The text and icons appear on the current image being viewed (your place in the index is not lost). The phone will behave as normal when any event occurs (incoming call, text message, etc). This will maximize the picture viewing capability of the phone. 6) Image Index. If the Full Screen option is too involved to provide, there is an alternative. The top center text and number indicators distract from picture viewing. Change the layout as follows: 1) Move the "MEMORY CARD" and "IN PHONE" text to the center of the bottom bar (it is nicely muted with maximum sized images). Change "MEMORY CARD" to "SD CARD"... it's all the phone can accept anyway. 2) Move the current image number to the far left, adjacent to the left arrow, and move the image total number to the far right, adjacent to the right arrow. The same information is displayed, but moved to the periphery of the images, to minimize distraction. 7) Browser Exit. Often the browser is invoked from different locations on the phone, such as e-mail or text message viewing. When exiting the browser, return focus to where the browser was launched rather than the home screen. Otherwise a lot of extra navigating has to be undertaken. I have other ideas, but these ones come to mind most. Thanks!

I have owned a Lotus phone for 2 months and I am on my 4th replacement phone. This phone is not all it's cracked up to be the display does not work and Sprint cannot rectify the problem nor will they replace it for a new one.
