LG Fathom - Allowing apps access to its accelerometer
I just switched to a Fathom, from an older Win Mobile phone. After moving over my apps which make use of the accelerometer in my old phone (utilities and yes, games), I found that none of them could access the Fathom's accelerometer.
In checking this out, I have since learned that apparently there isn't a standard Win Mobile way of accessing the accelerometer (that really surprised me). However, apps converged on the only available standard, and that is from HTC. This is thru an driver found on HTC Win Mobile phones called "htcsensorsdk.dll". Yea, I know this is LG, and not HTC, but I am really hoping that LG can come up with a way for all those existing apps which make use of a phone's accelerometer, to make use of the Fathom's accelerometer. I mean, otherwise, what good is having one? I suppose that LG needs to come up with their own driver, that presents an interface to apps, that matches HTC's interface. Any hopes?

That's disappointing. But the information you provided is great, thanks... I'm not sure what I can do but I will pass this on to our Development team. We'll see if they can do anything to help out.

Hi!
I'm thinking about a htcemu-like app's development, but I would need to know what functions can be found in the accelsensor.dll.
Could you post some reference? I would highly appreciate it...
Thank you
