LG Revolution Update
I know it was said that the LG Revolution Gingerbread update will come "soon" but can you give a more specific time period. Is "soon" a week, month, two months, or longer. I can't see whatÛas taking so long considering the LG Esteem was released with Gingerbread. Also, will this new update allow LG Revolution users to assign other search apps like Google to the dedicated search key, this would make the phone a lot better. Another thing, is there any chance at all the LG Revolution will get ICS?

- That's the frustrating part of this job, not being able to be more specific and give you the answers you need... I'd guess before the end of 2011... It could be sooner, I really don't have a firm date, this is my guess. But I'll post when I hear anything further.
- Change to Google for Dedicated Search Button... I've held off installing GB on my Revolution becuse I need to have what is in the field. I'll ask someone who is currently running it.
- ICS? I don't have access to see that far down the road, so I don't know. I'd like to see GB get out before I worry about ICS.

Any update on the rollout window? Many of us still have not gotten the update. I've heard from at least a half-dozen users reporting in to PhoneNews.com that their Revolutions cannot update. When you hit Check New in Software Updates, the phone reports no update available.

I've also confirmed that with my own Revolution :(

Bump.
FWIW, Verizon advanced tech support is clueless on this subject. I had to walk them through support.verizonwireless.com just to show them that Gingerbread has been released.
Lot of frustrated users out there, would appreciate an update on the Gingerbread rollout, so we know if our devices that won't update are defective or not. We're long past November 2...

I talked with a rep from LG the other day, and was told that Verizon had stopped the rolloute of Gingerbread for the Revo while they investigated some "issues." I was not told anything else about what these "issues" were. I, like the other commenters in this thread, am unable to update my Revo. Could a rep from LG please comment, or if a Verizon rep is reading this, they also?

I know! What the crap happened to my phone? Ever since the Gingerbread update, my phone has been pretty useless. This update definitely messed up my phone, it was working relatively fine before. I already did Gb update on this Revo and nothing wrong happen on my phone. I used this LINK for updating phone to Gb. You can use this information.
