My lg optimus's screen will turn off when I'm making a phone call and will not turn back on to let me end the call.
I know usually when I make a phone call the screen turns off when I tip it up to my ear and turns on when I lay it flat, now it will not turn on at all, I have to remove my battery to turn it off to end the call. Does anyone else have this problem and how do I fix it?!

Well, most smart phones will wake up the display if you quickly shake the device. Sort of like you were trying to crack a horse whip. I think the accelerometers in the device trigger the screen to wake. This is what I do to get the dialpad.
Try it. -

I think I've got it figured out. Some setting with the "auto rotate" had been changed. Thanks for the tip though I'll remember to try that if it gets weird again! :]

The Auto Rotate setting shouldn't have anything to do with it. Shouldn't... :)
OK, you can download a program called Elixir.which will allow you to test all the sensors in your phone.
Well, I'm glad things are working for you again. -

Every now and then I see a device that needs the proximity sensor recalibrated or that area around the sensor just cleaned. Recalibration is done by our service center so hopefully that weird auto rotate glitch is keeping your device properly running the screen.
